PAWS stands for Peoples Animal Welfare Service.
Offering help for pets and pet owners in the Bedlington area of Northumberland, we are funded entirely by donations & fund raising.
PAWS was founded by Mary Weightman M.B.E. in 1954 and is a registered charity set up to assist the elderly and less well off in the community (Registration number 1103519).
We Can -
• Help with veterinary care for pet owners on a low income.
• Assist with a repayable loan towards surgery up to £50.00
• Provide transport and support to pet owners who need it.
Our vets will examine and treat pets for minor ailments, all we ask is small minimum donation of £10 towards fees and drug costs. Of course if you could pay more we won’t mind!
Appointments are available on Wednesdays from 1:00pm by prior arrangement. Appointments can be made by telephone on Tuesdays from 9:00am until 12:30pm
